Closing out 2011

This path month has been full of fun and festivities.  Creating a compare and contrast essay, learning about our great state, figuring out fractions, and studying the flight of birds have been fun.  Of course we were able to fit in a fieldtrip to watch The Elves and the Shoemaker, a special chapel with our special maintenance staff as the honored guests, the all school Christmas program in which the 4th grade class looked prettier than a lit up Christmas tree, Honor Roll recognition, and a wonderful craft rotation and feast put on by the amazing 4th grade parents to wrap up the end of 2011 at UCA.  Just wait to see what amazing opportunities await us in 2012!

Ready for the Holidays!

My-oh-my, how the holidays quickly arrived!  We finished off October with Grandparents’ Day as we performed for and played alongside our loved ones.  Then November’s main event was our Thanksgiving Feast followed by games and a dessert party hosted by the amazing parents.  But let’s not forget all of our hard work and accomplishments from this past month.  For one, the missions’ projects were superb!  I enjoyed learning about these missions from my talented and artistic students.  And the spelling bee,… WOW- what an impressive group of 4th graders!  Day to day you put a smile on my face as I get a deeper look into the wonderful and extraordinary individuals that God designed you to be.  Thank you for working so hard, having so much fun, and letting the love of God shine through you at school.  Let’s finish off this year in a memorable way!

Friday Fun

Fridays should be named “Fun Fridays” around here.  From electrical demonstrations to spirit rallies, these 4th graders are having a great time.  We’re only one month into the school year, and already these students are making memories and forming relationships to last a lifetime.  Let’s keep up the awesome work and see what the fall season holds for us.

Welcome to the Fantastic Fourth Grade!

This year is going to be a blast from beginning to end.  I hope you and your families had a restful summer and are energized for a brand new year.  To the parents, I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you.  I consider it a blessing to be given the opportunity to have an influence in the lives which bring you so much joy.  To my students, it’s time to make new friends, search for those school supplies, pull out your books, and load up that back pack.
Be sure to stop by for Open House on August 30th.  Feel free to drop off school supplies and check out your classroom.
Together, we will journey through California, explore God’s marvelous creation, and exercise our minds.  I cannot wait to meet all of you.  Just think of how much fun we will have this year!
