October was a fun month. The fourth grade focused on
the attributes of God in Bible, fractions in Math, and all types of nouns in
English class, and various skills in Reading. Social Studies brought us
to Spanish California and its missions. Soon we will be building mission
projects and creating brochures in computer class. In science we learned
about magnetism and electromagnets. Students even conducted a few
experiments involving electromagnets. This month we were also able to
invite our grandparents for a Grandparents’ Day performance followed by songs,
fun, and games in the classroom.

Hands-On Learning, Rallies, Science & More!
4th grade is having a blast. I don’t know
if they would rather work in reading groups, incorporate art into social
studies, or work on science experiments. For now, we’ll keep on doing all
that was previously mentioned and so much more. Students are achieving
the Expected Schoolwide Learning Results through a variety of ways. Bible
study and verse memorization will equip us mature as Christians. Students
are able to use critical thinking as they predict and experiment with
electromagnets. Presenting their own personal narratives, students were
able to build effective communication skills. And every day, this class
works on becoming responsible citizens as we understand more about ourselves
and how to interact with those around us.
The 4th grade truly is a great place for
learning.
