This spring has been a fun one in the 4th grade. In class, we are learning about salvation, long division and fractions, prepositions and writing business letters, and the industries and civil rights movement that made a difference in California post World War II. A few weeks ago, every student and an amazing number of parents attended a 14 hour field trip together. We took the train to San Diego, where we explored science at an aquarium, dissected a mackerel in our lab class, visited the first mission established in California, and took a tour of Old Town San Diego. The 4th graders really showed off their knowledge and praiseworthy behavior in front of the tour guides and their parents. Students also enjoyed an Easter party, craft rotation, and egg hunt to close out a fabulous week before Easter break.
